Samsung is expecting to sell 510 million mobile phones
Of the 510 million mobile phones it expects to sell, 390 million will be smartphones with the remainder coming from the sale of feature/budget phones.
Analysts are predicting that Samsung will dethrone Nokia to become the top handset shipper in the world for 2012. Nokia has held that title for 14 years

Thanks to NASA our Army is not mute and blind anymore !?

Since the early 2000s the Pentagon has made several attempts to tear down this electronic Tower of Babel.
Newer F-16s use one version of Link 16 and older ones another; A-10s and F-15s also each use different editions of Link 16 that aren’t always compatible. F-22s are the worst offenders, using the Intra-Flight Data Link that allows it connect only to other F-22s. Add the Army, Navy and Marines — oh, and allied militaries, as well — and the confusion only grows.

Why these invisible airplanes fly so close? Well, to be able to communicate by hand or naval flag signs !

A new better combo than Eye-Fi s is available

Here's how it works: Sandisk Extreme Pro MicroSD + PQI Air Card.

The Sandisk MicroSD is not only Class 10, but way exceeds the Class at 45MB/s. The PQI AirCard has direct WiFi access from iOS and Android, and can also be accessed directly with an IP address, which enables access with otherwise unsupported phones.

WiFi Shoot it is the first app in the Google Play to use the WiFi Direct technology to wirelessly transmit photos, videos and any file directly between two Android devices!

Wi-Fi Direct is a feature that allows two Wi-Fi-capable devices to connect without the need to go through a wireless access point

The Queen and the email in 1976

The date was March 26, 1976, and the ARPANET — the computer network that eventually morphed into the internet — had just come to the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment, a telecommunications research center in Malvern, England. The Queen was on hand to christen the connection, and in the process, she became one of the first heads of state to send an e-mail.
Coral 66 is the standard real-time high level language adopted by the Ministry of Defence.

How to configure windows 8 tablet as WiFi Hotspot

Here.
Probably will work with Win 7 Ultrabooks, because win 7 doesn't support tablets.
Third party free solution is here http://thinix-wifi-hotspot.en.softonic.com/download
It is much simpler than the Linux configuration. Don't  forget your hardware must be year 2011 and later.
If you make it than you can DIRECTLY upload your shoots from your  DSLR camera, provided it has Wifi option. However some cameras from year 2011 and later support it, the others only via Wifi SDHC cards,.

Something was wrong at 157-nanometer lithography.

 Something was wrong at 157-nanometer.
Light at 193 nm has a resolution limit on the order of 65 nm, but immersion lithography uses the same light source and yet realizes a semiconductor process at precisions as high as 40-45nm.
EUV is still being developed, and many semiconductor houses have expressed a willingness to move to EUV when it becomes available, but others are now predicting that immersion lithography, multi-patterning and high-index fluids, will allow semiconductors to make it all the way to the end of the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors at eight-nanometer using 193-nanometer lithography.

Keynes: Why Do We Still Have to Work?

If productivity continued to increase by just a few percent every year, then through the miracle of compound interest we could be eight times better off in 2030 than we were in 1930. And, with that much wealth, we would finally be able to satisfy everyone’s basic needs.
The problem is that in this world the profits of robot labor would go only to the people who own the robots or who could think of innovative new ways to use them. Everyone else would make almost no money at all. Although we are obviously not at that point yet, Summers argued that we may already be 15-20% of the way there. Indeed, increasing automation may be part of the reason why, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 3.5 million jobs U.S. manufacturing jobs disappeared in the last decade alone. The net result is that economic inequality is increasing just as we are finally beginning to have enough to provide for all of our citizens. The same technology that makes us rich as a society gives the people who control it the power to take home a larger and larger share of our income.

All YOur email BASES belongs to US: NSA Whistleblower Says All E-mails Are Monitored

NSA Whistleblower Says All E-mails Are Monitored

The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013. Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.” It is, in some measure, the realization of the “total information awareness” program created during the first term of the Bush administration—an effort that was killed by Congress in 2003 after it caused an outcry over its potential for invading Americans’ privacy.
