80 processors computer on a board
SpiNNaker - A Universal Spiking Neural Network Architecture.
In this way the massive parallelism extending to thousands or
millions of processors is possible.
Actually, we have on board torus based router able to connect 80 SoCs.
Clock (if any) is order of only 200 Mhz. ARM 968E-S, low power processor core is used.
Each core also connects to the SpiNNaker chip's Comms-NoC which provides a path into the SpiNNaker chip's "Router" to enable the transmission of data packets either to other processor cores within the chip or to processors of other interconnected SpiNNaker chips via one of the six input/output links of the SpiNNaker chip.
Processing power of this board is at least 50 GFlops .
100 000 such mini boards enable peak 5 PFlops supercomputer.
