The CPU will have a total 12MB of L3 cache 4xHT3, AMD-V and APML - Advanced Platform Management Link and something called probe filter. The new CPU will be supported in RD890S w IOMMU and RD870S w IOMMU, both matched with SB700. The platform is codenamed Maranello and it includes support for 4XHT-3 and DDR3. 12-core CPU is actually a multi-chip module, and that will soften manufacturing technology pressure on AMD.
