First Petaflops supercomputer runs using 7K AMD's dual-core Opterons
The system has almost 7,000 dual-core Advanced Micro Devices Inc. Opteron processors and almost 13,000 Cell processors.
Finally, a truth on bad hardware. It doesn't run on hyper marketed Xeons at all.
