Russian computing revival
Microprocessor Elbrus-PF, projected 2011. 65 nm technology, 8 cores VLIW/EPIC processor. With the transition to 45 nm technology, this processor will be a clock frequency of 2 GHz, and a performance of 8 Tflops. This processor will be used to build supercomputer with PFLOPS performance.
Larrabee?
Larrabee who? Try it in 65nm implementation when it consumes 300W.
Petaflops in a rack by 2011? 10 Pflops with 10 racks. Seems we will see Russian revival in military too.
EU is not interested in high performance computing, USA are weak in economics and who the hell is left?
