Confirmed: All reality is virtual
The Higgs field creates mass out of the quantum vacuum too, in the form of virtual Higgs bosons. So if the LHC confirms that the Higgs exists, it will mean all reality is virtual.
Einstein used to say: All reality is an illusion, but very persistent one.
Those two formulations are pretty close, provided we assume the word virtual simply as an very persistent illusion. By the way, our mind is an illusion too. Thus, is our reality actually someone's mind?
