AMD chips are actually designed in India
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the second largest maker of microprocessors for personal computers, servers and mobiles, said 30% to 70% of every chip designed by it is done out of India.
He said in the years to come, "We anticipate that 100% of the research and development work on some of the new microprocessors will be exclusively designed by the Indian R&D centers.
