Google: Windows use is a security effort
One Google employee as saying: We're not doing any more Windows
Because, ChromeOS is coming in late fall.
Google Chrome OS consumes one-sixtieth as much drive space as Win7. That is 1,5%
Thus ordinary 250 GB storage for Win7 translates in only 4 GB for Chrome OS. Though that doesn't mean Chrome OS netbooks will be cheaper that the Win ones.
Microsoft on Thursday waved off Google's efforts to develop an open source operating system, saying that software developers would have to create different versions of the same application for different brands. Anyway 4GB is always more secure than 300 GB.
