BAD HARDWARE WEEK

No one compares with Intel!. Well AMD had conquired an
advantage in high performance x86, but Intel is still unbeatable
in low power. Right? Wrong. Not any more. Look at this picture up and right. OK, but that is ridiculous. VIA competitor?. Well, think about the same type resoning some 3 years ago.
AMD high performance competitor? Hahahaha.
Today nobody ia laughing more at it. But, VIA has no even its own fab. Well, IBM has, and its 90nm SOI process, that is obviously less power demanding than Intel's 65nm. Please note that VIA 1 ghz processor consumes 3,5W and 2Ghz 20W. Thus, we shouldn't apply different reasoning on scaling Merom to Woodcrest level of performance.
