Intel new Skylake lowers clocks !

If the information is correct, then the initial “Skylake-S” family will hardly be truly broad and will not impress with high clock-rates.
99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: Some computing power it will draw thanks to DDR 4 interface and that's all folks. Except as we allready noted new Morphcore for lower power consumption mode, where improvements should be substantial. However, nice only for notebooks. OFFICIALLY.

What’s Next for Moore’s Law? For Intel, III+V

10 nm ?
99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: What an idiotism. It is clear bipolar technology and is used for Intel's OmniScale 2 optical fiber integration in 2018.

Exclusive is from BAD HARWARE WEEK: It will run exclusivly not silicon based  devices at 25GHz,  but at 100 Ghz. Or even at 400 Ghz later !

A new method developed by Ali Javey and colleagues that involves using III-Vs grown on insulators using an epitaxial layer transfer process overcomes this problem.
The team transfer ultrathin layers of indium arsenide (for n-type FETs) and indium gallium antimonide (for p-type FETs) from their original growth substrates onto silicon wafers using a two-step process. The structures produced are similar to conventional silicon-on-insulator (SOI) structures except that the top, active, layer is the single-crystal III-V film rather than silicon. The researchers have already made such a platform before, dubbed X on insulator, or XOI.

Intel has nothing in common with SOI production ! Nor manufacturing expertise with SOI.

Mid age crisis : 50 years of Moore's law

His now 50-year-old article predicted that the silicon integrated circuit would continue to develop over the coming decades.
99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK:  In 2014, semiconductor production facilities made some 250 billion billion (250 x 1018) transistors. This was, literally, production on an astronomical scale. Every second of that year, on average, 8 trillion transistors were produced.
A single microprocessor today would cost $195 million, had the price per transistor remained constant between 1971 and 2015. That is how our world would look like if Moore's law don't exist. That hypothetical outlow Microprocessor would cost as today's top supercomputer.

To cut the knot or not: OPEN WINDOWS

When God somewhere closes a door, He opens Windows at Microsoft
99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: Shocka !

Apple gained IBM's and Microsoft's US technology value share since 1993

99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: Microsoft has been eating  IBM's US technology market value till 2004, then Apple Microsoft's ! Will Facebook eat Google ?

What, you refuse to serve Facebook Big Brother ?

Well, all the terrorist do the same !
99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: However, that was before Snowden's Big Brother revelations.
