BAD HARDWARE WEEK

Qualifying editions of Windows Vista that were downgraded to Windows XP are eligible for upgrade. Note that upgrading from a downgraded version of Windows Vista requires you to either:

• Upgrade back to your original Windows Vista edition using recovery media that came with your PC and then perform an upgrade to Windows 7 in order to retain installed applications and settings;

OR

• Upgrade from Windows XP downgrade directly to Windows 7 by doing a clean installation of Windows 7 and lose access to installed applications and settings
