Fannie Mae is formed by US Government during Great Depression. The current one?

Together with The FHLMC created in 1970, they owned or guaranteed about half of the U.S.'s $12 trillion mortgage market. On September 7, 2008, the U.S. Government took control of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It is estimated that the liabilities of both companies could cost U.S. taxpayers tens of billions of dollars.
Bad Hardware: $12 trillion market is controlled entirely by US Government? Add recent Health Insurance Bill, and you will get more state control than in Commie China ! What a comedy with a healhty sense of reason.
