FBI says Slovenian mastermind of botnet nabbed
The alleged mastermind is a 23-year-old Slovenian whose Internet nickname is Iserdo.
Slovenian police have confirmed that they have detained a computer hacker believed responsible for creating the virus that infected 12 million computers worldwide.
Slovenian is forced to work in the future for NSA, against the aggressive Chinese and Russian hackers.
50 of the world’s Fortune 100 companies are actively participating in this botnet as well as hundreds of government agencies, financial institutions, universities and corporate networks worldwide.
With over 200 variants, some of the Mariposa malware is currently detected and some is not. Coordination with antivirus companies is ongoing to ensure that their signatures are updated.
