Faster than light speed breakthrough: Oh, not again ?

"In certain materials, such as the atomic gases the team is studying, this dispersion can cause pulses of light to travel faster than the speed of light in vacuum. This phenomenon is known as "fast-light,"

99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: Actually we have laser light pulse amplitude trade for its phase velocity. Thus ND materials can make gyroscopes up to 100 000 times more precise. Depending of course of gain obtained by pulse amplitude amplifier. Or alternatively, imagine only about 100 000 times shorter fiber optic path used in a miniaturized device with ordinary gyro precision.
