Wide Area Information Servers
Concepts was a paper that was widely distributed that painted some of
the vision for the project.
It had many of the features that came
prominent in the World Wide Web (document identifiers), Altavista/Google
(Internet based search engines), Siri (searching multiple servers at
once in different ways), client-server systems, payment systems, Reddit
(distributed editors to play a role in prioritizing documents),
integrated personal/corporate/wide area searching (does not really exist
yet).
