AMD will produce 100M processors in 2008
Wow. If we assume that IDC projections on world PC processors production of 300M in 2008 are correct, than that will be hefty 33% of PC market for AMD.Seems that Intel too much invests in the future, or it plans to destroy AMD after 2008.
Magazine Forbes reports that first AMD processors from the second source Chartered fab 7 in Singapore will arive on time, in June this year. We could soon see an official announcement about it. However, you find this possibility exaggerated?
Than what would you say for this: http://sharikou.blogspot.com/2006/03/amd-poised-to-exit-2006-with-55-market.html
or even worse, this terrifying IDF summary report: http://sharikou.blogspot.com/2006/03/idf-summary-report.html
Now it's all confirmed, the Core architecture (NGMA, Merom/Conroe/Woodcrest) is 95.5% Bob Colwell Pentium 3, plus 4% Bob Colwell list of todos when he left Intel, and probably 0.5% Israeli patchwork. AMD would not even mention such minor improvements with their core revisions.
Well, not to be AMD fan, let check how Bob Colwell solved crucial so called memory disambiquity problem? That problem seems was not even existing in Colwell's time. Here is how it emerged and how it was solved in practice after him : http://badhardware.blogspot.com/2006/03/conroe-roadmap-and-prices.html
Intel actually thought that after many successful IDFs brain washing sessions, we zombies have no memories at all.
