Finally, Intel runs at 10Ghz
What, someones have already forgotten Tejas at 10Ghz? Well this time Intel demoed actually a register file running at 10,1Ghz in 65nm. Beside they are able to run at 4Ghz clock and VRM11's bottom voltage of 0,85V at only 42mW/Ghz. That shows actually Merom ultimate goals in 65nm (in Gilo form perhaps?). Will we see Intel's processor running at 10Ghz? No, of course not. Devil is again in the details. Intel's 65nm leaks and heat like a hell. Lower clock means lower temp. and leakage.
Thus, nothing new again, except yet another David Copperfield style show for the ignorants.
