Resident robot of the ISS has first chat with crewmember !!

Their first “test chat” also included a preliminary test of Kirobo’s basic functions, like greeting a certain crew member for example using facial recognition.
What exactly were the first words that he spoke to Mr. Wakata? Well, he made a comment to him that “The Earth is quite blue indeed!”

The panel of five experts also recommended that future eavesdropping of foreign leaders should only be approved by a president, not intelligence officials, if "rigorous" tests were passed.

Documents Reveal Top NSA Hacking Unit, The NSA remembers the Alamo

TAO exploits the technical weaknesses of the IT industry, from Microsoft to Cisco and Huawei .

During the middle part of the last decade, the special unit succeeded in gaining access to 258 targets in 89 countries -- nearly everywhere in the world. In 2010, it conducted 279 operations worldwide.
In a 2006 document related to a municipal bond sale, City Hall estimated the NSA's new investment in San Antonio could reach $300 million and add up to 1,500 new jobs.
Helped in part by recent funding increases from Congress, the expansion in San Antonio is part of the agency's four-year plan to add 6,000 new employees, many of them language and intelligence analysts, the NSA said. The agency's expansion plans calls for adding 1,500 employees every year starting from last year until 2008.
Oh by the way, Sony former chip fab and now Texas cryptology data center has been producing 0.4-1.2 micrometer chips on 150mm wafers. AND NOW IT IS FILLED WITH 200 DATA RACKS AT  945 square meters meters area.

"We told them we were going to get Microsoft, and that really opened up their eyes," San Antonio City official Wolff said.
Data centers, which house thousands of computer servers, often have a clustering effect, Hernandez said. Hahahhhhaa.
 The NSA remembers the Alamo
The new NSA facility is just a few miles from Microsoft’s data center of the same size. Bamford says that under current law, NSA could gain access to Microsoft’s stored data without even a warrant, but merely a fiber-optic cable.
The original Microsoft error message exploited by the NSA
“What the Microsoft people will have will be just storage of a lot of the email that is being sent. They keep this email — I don’t know why — and there should be some legislation saying how long it should be kept,” said Bamford in a phone interview last week. “The post office doesn’t keep copies of our letters when we mail letters; why should the telecom companies or the internet providers keep copies of our email? It doesn’t make sense to me. But there’s no legislation. So they need a place to store it, and that’s where they’re storing all this stuff.”
“Cybersecurity in the public domain has largely been about defense, but there’s certainly an attack component to it. To some degree, the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence agencies are now starting to talk about the attack component in the public domain,” says Sandhu.
Once TAO teams have gathered sufficient data on their targets' habits in 2008, they can shift into attack mode, programming the QUANTUM systems to perform this work in a largely automated way. If a data packet featuring the email address or cookie of a target passes through a cable or router monitored by the NSA, the system sounds the alarm.  These documents reveal that in 2008, the Texas Cryptologic Center employed fewer than 60 TAO specialists. By 2015, the number is projected to grow to 270 employees. In addition, there are another 85 specialists in the "Requirements & Targeting" division (up from 13 specialists in 2008). The number of software developers is expected to increase from the 2008 level of three to 38 in 2015.

The TAO workers selected systems administrators and telecommunications engineers at the Mexican agency as their targets, thus marking the start of what the unit dubbed Operation WHITETAMALE.
One document labeled "top secret" and "not for foreigners" describes the NSA's success in spying on the "SEA-ME-WE-4" cable system. This massive underwater cable bundle connects Europe with North Africa and the Gulf states and then continues on through Pakistan and India, all the way to Malaysia and Thailand. The cable system originates in southern France, near Marseille. Among the companies that hold ownership stakes in it are France Telecom, now known as Orange and still partly government-owned, and Telecom Italia Sparkle.  Enromous suicide rate in France Telecom, is it a mere coincidence ?

HAL, please open that bloody doors ( Space Odyssey 2010)
The presentation also notes that the NSA has been unable to employ this method to target users of Google services. Apparently, that can only be done by Britain's GCHQ intelligence service, which has acquired QUANTUM tools from the NSA.

NSA payed $10 Millions RSA for TCPA Chip backdoor key !

Undisclosed until now was that RSA received $10 million in a deal that set the NSA formula as the preferred, or default, method for number generation in the BSafe software, according to two sources familiar with the contract.
The endorsement key is a 2048-bit RSA public and private key pair, which is created randomly on the chip at manufacture time and cannot be changed. The private key never leaves the chip, while the public key is used for attestation and for encryption of sensitive data sent to the chip, as occurs during the TPM_TakeOwnership command.

Before this decade is out: On Apollo men first landing on November 19 1969

What after taking this picture Eagle went back to Columbia and than back home?
Saturn V Third stage never found., Apollo 11ascend stage never found ! How they went back from Moon without it ? There is passive seismic device at Apollo11 landing site but formally the next Apollo 12 third stage never hit Moon to test that device !! Allegedly Apollo 12 third stage is recently found somewhere in Space ! Thus it didn't smash on Moon to test Apollo 11 passive seismic device. Why if it was really installed  on Moon ? But if it wasn't, a lot of work is saved at Apollo 12 mission. Any other possibility is very unlikely.
On Apollo 10
Descent stage Snoopy never found, Ascend stage never found. Nothing strange , Apollo 10 has never been on Moon surface.

99% BAD HARDWARE WEEK: Apollo 11 never landed. What is now found on Moon at the Apollo 11 historic site is actually Snoopy , Apollo 10''s automated descend stage ! The first one that humans landed on Moon was actually Apollo 12. At least we have all needed engines in situ  !. Why NASA did the fraud ? Well. Russians tried to land too, though unsuccessfully. Failure with two dead astronauts (perhaps all three would be the program main blow). Thus BEFORE THIS DECADE OUT GOAL IS ACTUALLY FULFILLED AS PLANNED, BUT ON NOVEMBER 19 , 1969. Below is one real Earth photo from Apollo 12 command module. No blue marble, seems just like a Moon from Earth.

5G Work Officially Begins in EU

Ten years from now, telecom and IT will be integrated towards a common infrastructure massively based on general purpose and programmable hardware that will offer resources for transport, routing, storage and execution. Network equipment will become 'computing equivalent' equipment that gathers programmable resources based on virtualization technologies. [These nets will] embed computing and storage resources in a converged infrastructure to orchestrate the delivery of IT and network services"

Svchost is in the hart of XP patch misery

There's a built-in process, svchost.exe, chewing up the entire processor, sometimes for an hour or more at a time. Wait long enough after booting and the machine will eventually return to normalcy. But an hour can be a long time to wait.
Unfortunately, the Windows Update client components used an algorithm with exponential scaling when processing these lists. Each additional superseded patch would double the time taken to process the list. With the operating system now very old, those lists have grown long, sometimes to 40 or more items. On a new machine, that processing appeared to be almost instantaneous. It is now very slow.

Our surveillance goes one step further on topic: You are blocked whether or not the phone's SIM is changed

The IMEI number is used by a GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used for stopping a stolen phone from accessing that network. For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to "blacklist" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless on that network and sometimes other networks too, whether or not the phone's SIM is changed.
However, many network and security features are enabled by knowing the current device being used by a subscriber.

Moon Express Unveils Breakthrough “MX-1” Commercial Lunar Lander

Moon Express, Inc., a privately funded lunar resources company, unveiled its “MX-1” lunar lander spacecraft today as a breakthrough robotic space vehicle capable of a multitude of applications including delivering scientific and commercial payloads to the Moon at a fraction of the cost of conventional approaches. The spacecraft design is being unveiled today at the closing session of Autodesk University in Las Vegas in front of an audience of over 10,000 attendees. The MX-1 synthesizes proprietary robotic technologies, advanced micro-avionics, and a unique toroidal structure to produce a “green” robotic spacecraft that is powered by sunlight and uses hydrogen peroxide as rocket fuel. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an oxygen enriched water compound commonly found in nature and biological systems. With the recent discovery of water on the Moon, the MX-1 has a potential source of rocket fuel on the lunar surface, a scenario that would be a game changer in the economics of lunar resources and solar system exploration.

Chinese rare earth Hare found on Moon

Actually, Russian's Luna 24 found titanium on Moon and brought it back in 1976.
The Moon could be a "beautiful" source of minerals and energy, a top Chinese scientist has told the BBC.
Exotic materials including helium-3 and the potential for solar power could prove invaluable for humankind, he says. Delta Differential One -way Ranging with a little help from ESA enable Chinese Hare to land on Moon with target precision up to  50 billionth of degree. That is 2 000 000 000 / 10B = less then one millimeter. Will it tip over during the very landing on Moon like Luna 23 remains to be seen. Anyway best luck.
